*** What NOT to do on a Safari - Click HERE. Key takeaways from this video. Don't get out of jeep/feed the animals. Always listen and follow the directions of the guides. Do Not the leave the tent/lodge at night without a guide/lodging staff. Watch your food intake due to limited bathrooms on the safari. Recommended to bring soft luggage, not the big boxy hard luggage. Pack light and NO dark clothing such as dark Blues & dark blacks. Bring safari clothing. More tips will be in the Check List that is sent prior to the trip.

Accommodations: The tour includes two nights in Arusha City in a 4 star highly rated hotel. Please be aware Tanzanian national parks don't have traditional hotels inside the park boundaries due to a combination of factors, including regulations, environmental concerns, and the desire to maintain the natural state of the parks. National parks in Tanzania are often managed to minimize human impact and preserve the natural environment. This means strict rules and regulations regarding construction and development within the park.

Therefore, all lodging accommodations inside and near the parks are Tented Camps & Lodges. Accommodations will be in semi-luxury tented camps/lodges at double occupancy - some have pools. Unlike standard hotels with 50 to hundreds of rooms, tented camps can only accommodate 12-50 guests and lodges can only accommodate 50-150 guests. Also, the tented camps & lodges are not going to have all the amenities associated with traditional hotel accommodations. Please see similar accommodation example of Tented Camp HERE, and a Lodge HERE. Please keep in mind these are just examples and may not be the actual lodging facilities. The actual lodging accommodations for the entire tour will be finalized and confirmed approximately 30-45 days before departure.

Tented Camps - Group accommodations will be in semi-luxury tented camps. These facilities don't have the traditional amenities of a standard hotel. The tented camps will all have private bathrooms with modern toilets & showers. These facilities are similar to "Glamping". The primary reason for using these facilities is being up close to the wildlife in their natural habitat - it's a premium experience unmatched.

Lodges - The main difference is these are permanent facilities, but still lack the amenities of a traditional hotel. However, their main purpose is to provide a similar hotel stay experience. Lodges used will be in quality intimate accommodations - some with pools.

*** FYI - Post Pandemic, all trips/tours provided by Ski Klub International, the lodging accommodations and airfares are finalized and confirmed approximately 30-60 days before departure. If you are in disagreement, not happy or not comfortable with this arrangement, please DO NOT sign-up for any of our group tours. Weather: (Dry season June to October) - Afternoon temperatures are usually around 25°C/77°F. Most days have clear skies with low humidity and pleasant temperatures. It is possible for the short rains to begin in October, should they start early. It gets cold at night with minimum temperatures around 14°C/57°F. Occasional cold fronts are possible, with temperatures close to freezing. It’s usually chilly early in the morning. Therefore, there is no A/C in any of the tented camps/lodges. More information of what to wear and bring will be provided on the Check List before the trip.
